- Eat 5 to 10 servings of fruits & vegetables a day.
- Eat a diet rich in fiber.
- Adopt a low-fat diet.
- Drink less alcohol - no more than one drink a day.
- Eliminate red meat from your diet.
- Limit your intake of meats that are preserved in salt.
- Limit the amount of smoked meat you eat.
- Avoid charring or deep browning your food.
- Include more antioxidants (vitamins E, C, A & beta-carotene), plus folate and vitamin D in your diet. |
